Steve’s area of support encompasses poultry producers in the South East as well as gamekeepers across the South with their individual feed and husbandry requirements.
Steve qualified from Hadlow College in 1995 and promptly joined the well-known family farm business, Barradale Farm Ltd. He worked for a year in the West Country on a 30 000 Free Range site, then moved to West Sussex with the family business, again running a 30 000 Free Range poultry site for a further 4 years. The family business ran close to 800 000 birds and supplied the London trade directly, including Buckingham Palace and Harrods.
When Barradale Farm Ltd was sold Steve moved to a local feed compounder and after three years, Humphrey Feeds was delighted to have Steve join their team of feed specialists in 2003.
Steve’s entire working experience has been in poultry where his passion and professionalism for this industry is clear to all and he is a highly respected member of the Humphrey Feeds team. As such, Steve carries the responsibility of representing Humphrey Feeds on the Royal Farms, for which we are proud to carry the royal warrant.
Married to Cherry with 3 young sons, Steve’s life is filled with an eclectic mix of pets ranging from 4 dogs, 5 ferrets, 3 Reeves pheasants, 20 Zebra finches and a cat. When Steve has a moment to himself his hobbies are sheep shearing and game keeping.
